Genelec and Indian partner Stagemix brought a focused showcase of SAM™ monitoring solutions to India’s premier professional audio and AV trade event, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from 28–30 May 2026.

Now in its 24th edition, PALM AV-ICN Expo remains the definitive gathering for India’s professional audio, AV, lighting, and live entertainment industry. Organised by Informa Markets at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, the three-day event brought together over 285 exhibitors, 1,000+ global and domestic brands, and an expected 42,000 industry professionals, making it the largest edition yet.

The expo floor reflected the full breadth of a rapidly evolving industry: professional sound reinforcement systems, large-format mixing consoles, studio monitors, intelligent stage lighting, LED displays and digital signage, AV integration solutions, DJ and music production equipment, and everything in between. It was a gathering not just of products, but of professionals — sound engineers, system integrators, AV consultants, rental specialists, journalists and educators. All coming together to explore the technologies shaping India’s live and installed AV future.

India’s Pro-AV sector is projected to reach USD 150 million by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 3.9%, driven by demand from live events, hospitality, education, government infrastructure, houses of worship, and the booming digital content creation space. PALM Expo, more than any other event, is where that momentum becomes visible.

Representing Genelec at the show was our Indian distribution partner Stagemix, with Clifford Pereira from Genelec and Sanjay Chitroda from Stagemix.

The centrepiece of the display was the S360A SAM™ Studio Monitor paired with the 7380A SAM™ Studio Subwoofer. This pairing represents the full force of the SAM™ ecosystem in action, and is built for those who demand uncompromising precision in music, film, and post-production environments.

Also on display were two 8040B Studio Monitors, nearfield references that have earned the trust of recording professionals the world over, alongside the compact 8320A SAM™ Studio Monitor, small enough to fit into the tightest of spaces, yet intelligent enough to adapt to any recording environment through GLM calibration.

Together, the selection made a clear statement: from compact nearfields to high-output midfield systems, Genelec’s SAM™ monitors bring the same discipline of acoustic intelligence and self-calibration to every working environment.

For Genelec, being present at PALM Expo is a natural continuation of our commitment to India’s professional audio community. The engineers, producers, integrators, and sound designers who fill these halls are precisely who we build our monitors for. People make critical listening decisions every day and need tools they can trust absolutely. We look forward to returning next year and continuing to grow alongside an industry that is only getting more ambitious.
